Recently, the results of the selection for the second batch of the “Global Language Services University Internship and Practice Bases”, jointly initiated by Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing Waiyan Online Digital Technology Co., Ltd., were officially announced. Distinguished by its clear institutional strengths, strong intercultural communication capability, and an educational philosophy committed to serving regional and international development, Macau Millennium College (“MMC”) stood out among numerous applicant universities and was successfully selected.

Second Batch of “Global Language Services University Internship and Practice Bases”
The “Global Language Services University Internship and Practice Base” programme aims to deepen industry-education integration and build a collaborative industry-academia-research network covering multiple languages, sectors and levels, thereby cultivating high-calibre, interdisciplinary foreign-language professionals aligned with national strategies and evolving industry needs. Since the second batch recruitment began on 10 October 2025, the programme has received enthusiastic applications from universities across the country. Following a comprehensive review, 20 universities were selected, spanning a wide range of languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, French, Russian, German, Mongolian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Indonesian, among others.
MMC will take this selection as an opportunity to further strengthen collaboration with industry partners, international organisations and leading institutions, continue to enhance its internship and practice platforms, and innovate training models for language services professionals. MMC will also actively support China’s opening-up strategy and regional high-quality development, contributing ideas and expertise to the building of a modern language services system with Chinese characteristics.
