Macau Millennium College Participates in the Mainland and Macau Higher Education Exhibition 2025

On 17 October 2025, the Mainland and Macau Higher Education Exhibition, jointly organised by the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs and Department of College Students Affairs of the Ministry of Education and the Education and Youth Development Bureau, was grandly opened at the Kao Yip Middle School. Macau Millennium College (“MMC”), as a local higher education institution in Macao, actively participated in this three-day exhibition. Rector Zhong Weihe was invited to attend the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr Kong Chi Meng, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, Mr Fu Xianfeng, Level I Division Rank Official of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Head of the Mainland and Macau Higher Education Exhibition 2025 delegation, Mr Li Yongxian, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Mr Song Dichen, Director-General of the Department of College Students Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Mr Lei Wai Nong, Member of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Foundation, Mr You Weilin, Director of Admissions Division I (Joint Admissions Office) of the Education Examinations Authority of Guangdong Province, Mr Cheang Hong Kuong, President of the Macao Chinese Educators Association, Mr Chow Pak Fai, President of the Macao Catholic Schools Association, Mr Pang Chuan, Executive Vice Chair of the Board and Secretary-General of the Macao Association for Higher Education Development, Ms Hoi Sok Cheng, Vice President of the Macao Association for Public Service Education, and Mr Chu Vai Kun, Chair of the Board of the Macao Tertiary Education Foundation.

In his speech, Director Kong Chi Meng stated that the Macao SAR Government is implementing President Xi Jinping’s important directives on the integrated development of education, technology, and talent, and is coordinating the advancement of educational development and talent-driven growth, actively introducing and nurturing various high-calibre talents, and working to build Macao into an international hub for high-end talent.

In his speech, Mr Fu Xianfeng, Head of the delegation, emphasised that the Ministry of Education places great importance on educational exchange and cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Macao, continuously improving the multi-level, multi-domain, and multi-form exchange and cooperation mechanisms, thus laying a solid foundation for the holistic growth and success of Macao’s youth.

After the opening ceremony, Mr Kong Chi Meng, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, Mr Li Yongxian, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Mr Cheang Hong Kuong, President of the Macao Chinese Educators Association, and Mr Ding Shaoxiong, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, visited the MMC booth to learn about the upcoming Taipa campus and MMC’s future development goals. Rector Zhong Weihe of MMC introduced MMC’s history and educational philosophy to the guests, with a focus on MMC’s digital and intelligent teaching features, which received full recognition and praise.

This year’s education exhibition set a new record in scale, with many high school students visiting to inquire about MMC’s curriculum offerings, development prospects, and faculty structure. Through face-to-face communication with our admissions staff, students were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest information about MMC. Not only could they gain an in-depth understanding of each university’s unique features and strengths, but they could also use this information as a reference to choose the most suitable path for their future studies.
