
Recently, the Library of Macau Millennium College officially joined the Alliance of Libraries of Private Undergraduate Higher Education Institutions. Shen Henghua, Director of the Library Administration Centre, serves as a council member of the Alliance.
The Alliance of Libraries of Private Undergraduate Higher Education Institutions was established in May 2025. It currently has 93 member libraries across 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and operates under the guidance of the Ministry of Education’s Steering Committee for Academic Library and Information Services. The Alliance is committed to promoting resource sharing and coordinated development among libraries of private higher education institutions, enhancing their capacity to support teaching and research, and contributing to the development of private higher education.
Following its admission to the Alliance, the Library of Macau Millennium College will uphold the Alliance’s principles of “equality and mutual benefit, openness and sharing, collaborative innovation, and service to society”. The Library will actively participate in the annual Librarians’ Forum, various thematic seminars, and the Young Librarians’ Academic Salon. It will also promote cooperation in resource co-development and sharing, interlibrary loan and document delivery, reading promotion, subject services, and professional training, further enhancing the College’s capacity to support teaching and research.
