The Department of Digital and Intelligent Teacher Education responds to the digital transformation of teacher education and the growing demand for artificial intelligence–empowered educational development. It focuses on areas including artificial intelligence in education, smart learning environments, teacher professional development, educational psychology and cognition, digital and intelligent educational assessment, and educational leadership. The Department is committed to cultivating high-quality education professionals with a solid grounding in educational theory, strong digital competencies, innovative teaching capabilities, and an international outlook. Emphasizing the interdisciplinary integration of education, psychology, data science, and artificial intelligence, the Department promotes the application of generative artificial intelligence, learning analytics, virtual reality, and intelligent assessment technologies in teaching, research, and educational management. Through coursework, research training, educational practice, and university–industry collaboration, students develop comprehensive capabilities in smart instructional design, digital educational resource development, teacher training, educational assessment, and educational innovation research. The Department aims to contribute to educational modernization and teacher workforce development in Macao and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
