On 8 May 2026, Professor Zhong Weihe, Rector of Macau Millennium College (“MMC” or the “College”), led faculty members and students on a visit to the National Security Education Exhibition 2026, jointly organised by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR. Through on-site learning and immersive experiences, the visit aimed to help faculty and students gain a deeper understanding of the rich connotations of the holistic approach to national security and comprehensively enhance their sense of responsibility and mission in safeguarding national security.

The exhibition was themed “Coordinating Development and Security to Safeguard the New Journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan”. It aimed to help all sectors of society clearly recognise the close connection between national security and their own well-being, build strong synergy across society on continuously practising the holistic approach to national security, and mobilise all sectors to consciously and proactively safeguard national security. Through concrete action, the exhibition sought to support the new journey of the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan and Macao’s Third Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Macao Special Administrative Region, advance the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems” with Macao characteristics to a new level, and contribute Macao’s strength to building China into a strong country on all fronts and advancing national rejuvenation through a Chinese path to modernisation.

During the visit, Professor Zhong wrote an inscription on behalf of the faculty and students: “Laying a solid foundation for enduring national security and nurturing lasting peace across our land.” This expressed the firm conviction and deep commitment of the faculty and students to safeguarding national security.

MMC has always upheld its educational mission of “Loving the Country, Loving Macao” and has actively supported the Macao SAR Government in promoting national security education. Taking this visit as an opportunity, MMC will continue to integrate national security education into its curriculum and campus culture, guide students to firmly embrace the belief that “national security is everyone’s responsibility”, and empower talent cultivation through “Digital Intelligence +”. In doing so, it aims to nurture outstanding talent for the new era with both a strong sense of national responsibility and an international outlook.
