Faculty and Students of Macau Millennium College Attend Macao SAR Government Events Celebrating the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China

To celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Macao SAR Government organised a range of commemorative events. On the morning of 1 July 2026, the ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China was held solemnly at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Education and Youth Development Bureau (“DSEDJ”) of the Macao SAR Government organised around 2,000 representatives from various sectors of society and young students to watch the live broadcast of the ceremony together at the gymnasium of Macao Polytechnic University.

Professor Zhong Weihe, Rector of Macau Millennium College (“MMC”), led faculty members and students in attending the event. Together with representatives from various sectors of Macao society, they reviewed the century-long journey of struggle of the Communist Party of China, witnessed the country’s development achievements, further strengthened national cohesion and fostered a stronger sense of national identity and responsibility.

On 30 June, Professor Wang Lifei, Vice Rector of MMC, attended “Remaining True to the Original Aspiration, Celebrating a Flourishing China”, a youth song and dance gala celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The event was organised by the DSEDJ and held at the University of Macau. Through artistic performances, the event showcased the vigorous and uplifting spirit of young people in the new era and guided young students to deepen their understanding of the country’s development journey.

Faculty members and students who attended the events said that, through participating in the series of Macao SAR Government events celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, they had gained a deeper understanding of the century-long journey of struggle of the Communist Party of China and the country’s development achievements, as well as a deeper appreciation of the hard-won prosperity and stability enjoyed today. They said they should cherish their learning opportunities, take the initiative to integrate into and serve the overall development of the country, closely connect their personal growth with the future of the motherland and Macao, and contribute their strength to advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

MMC will continue to uphold the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, actively support patriotic education of “Loving the Country and Loving Macao”, and encourage faculty members and students to remain committed to the country, serve Macao, and contribute to advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
