On 4 May 2026, the 2026 Macao Education Sector Flag-raising Ceremony to Mark May 4th Youth Day was solemnly held at the Multi-Sport Pavilion of Macao Polytechnic University. Vice Rector Wang Lifei and representatives of teachers and students of Macau Millennium College (“MMC”) were invited to attend the ceremony, joining members of the wider education sector in Macao to witness this solemn moment.

Teachers and students who took part in the event said that, as the national flag was raised, they felt a strong sense of pride in and belonging to the motherland. As Macao youth in the new era, they said, they should not only remember history and carry forward the torch of the May Fourth spirit, but also build on their own fields of study, take up the mission entrusted to them by the times, and contribute their youthful energy through concrete action to Macao’s prosperity and stability and to the country’s development.

The May Fourth spirit remains ever renewed, and the strength of youth continues from generation to generation. Looking ahead, MMC will continue to deepen education on loving the country and loving Macao, expand diversified platforms for national condition education, and guide young students to keep pace with the times and write a brilliant chapter of youth in serving the country’s overall development.
