Applications Open for DSEDJ’s Youth Summer Internship Programme and Macao Higher Education Students Chinese Mainland Internship Programme

To help young students plan their future development, strengthen their understanding of the employment environment in Macao and the Chinese mainland, and encourage them to integrate actively into society and learn by doing, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (“DSEDJ”) has launched the Youth Summer Internship Programme and the Macao Higher Education Students Chinese Mainland Internship Programme.

The Youth Summer Internship Programme aims to provide training and short-term internships for young students. It is open to current students and recent graduates aged 18 to 35 who hold a Macao resident identity card. Selected participants will be arranged to undertake internships of around six weeks at public departments, private organisations and other entities in Macao between July and August 2026.

The Macao Higher Education Students Chinese Mainland Internship Programme will arrange internships for higher education students at institutions and enterprises in the nine mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin (the “Cooperation Zone”), and other mainland cities. Internship locations include Shanghai, Hefei, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and the Cooperation Zone. The programme is open to Macao students enrolled in bachelor’s degree or postgraduate programmes at higher education institutions in Macao or elsewhere during the academic year 2025/2026.

Applications for both internship programmes are now open. Eligible young people who wish to apply may visit the following websites for details and application:
